Charting the Patient’s Path to Optimal Wellness

As private practice continues to evolve, helping patients understand the value of comprehensive treatment has never been more important. While practices often focus on attracting new patients, the patient already in the chair may be the most likely to accept comprehensive care—if we communicate its value effectively. This course explores the real barriers that influence patients’ treatment decisions and moves beyond anecdotal approaches to case presentation. Using findings from the recent Patients’ Path to Dental Care Purchases study, along with data from your own practice, we’ll examine evidence-based strategies for patient education and case presentation. We’ll consider generational and demographic differences, financial concerns, buying behaviors, and common objections to develop practical tools that can increase case acceptance.

Course Objectives

Present treatment plans to patients, recognizing typical objections to treatment and how to overcome them.
Understand patient behavior of differing generations.
Understand how credit works and how a practice can benefit.

We check blood pressure. We screen for oral cancer. We chart perio. But the single biggest driver of a patient's cardiovascular and metabolic risk may be happening for eight hours a night, in a room we never see — and until recently, there was no practical way to measure it.

That's changed. Home sleep testing, wearable and ring-based monitoring, AI-assisted scoring, and teledentistry have collapsed the distance between "I think this patient has a problem" and "this patient is diagnosed and in treatment." Crystal May returns to Stellar Infusion to show dental professionals what's now possible, what's coming next, and where dentistry sits in all of it.
